N°01Our stance

Software gets filled in. A story gets written. We come to the site, we read the place, and we draw from it a game that will exist nowhere else, with its own characters, its own puzzles and its own art direction.

Writing, original illustration, game design, development, operation: all of it happens inside the studio.

15 cities of our own

Our own games, every day

From Bordeaux to Lille, we run our own urban escape games: we design experiences we know how to keep alive.

Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes, Toulouse, Rennes…

Also: a heritage chatbot for the Ville d'Agen, a data escape game designed for a French government ministry, and a 360° immersion demonstrator with no app built on Google Street View.

N°05In their words

N°06The method

Four phases, fixed dates, evidence

I

Site survey

We come to you: your spaces, your works, your operating constraints, your audiences. Nothing gets written before we have walked the place.

II

Writing and art direction

An original script, puzzles anchored in the real place, illustrations drawn in-house. You sign off at every milestone.

III

Development and testing

The web app is built, then tested with real players on site. We tune the difficulty in the field, not at a desk.

IV

Training and operation

Your teams are trained, the back office is yours, and so are the statistics. Maintenance and seasonal updates are optional.

One integrated studio, not a chain of subcontractors

Every craft involved lives inside the studio. The person you talk to is the person who builds, and nothing is lost between a writer here and a developer somewhere else.

French public buyers: you can commission us without a competitive tender

Under article R. 2122-9-1 of the French public procurement code, a purchase qualified as innovative can be awarded directly, up to €100,000 excluding tax, with no competitive process. We provide the justification note to attach to your file. And when the formal procedure does apply, we answer it: our latest technical proposal scored 10 out of 10.

N°09Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before signing

Do you need to install an app to play a Hunting Town Studio trail?
No. The visitor scans a QR code or opens a link, and the game starts in their phone's browser. No installation, no account, no app store. A 3G connection is enough, and the trail exists in the visitor's own language.
How much does a bespoke gamified visitor trail cost?
Our ranges are published: €15,000 to €30,000 for a signature trail, €30,000 to €60,000 for a large-scale experience, and above that for multi-site and multi-year programmes. The figure depends on the number of trails, the languages, the audio production and the physical props: you get a range from our very first exchange.
How long does it take to create a trail?
Two to six months depending on scale, in four phases: site survey, writing and art direction, development, then testing with real players before training your teams.
Can a local authority or a museum commission us without a competitive tender?
Yes, in France. Under article R. 2122-9-1 of the French public procurement code, a purchase qualified as innovative can be awarded directly, up to €100,000 excluding tax, with no competitive process. We provide the justification note to attach to the file. And when the procedure does apply, we answer it: our latest technical proposal scored 10 out of 10.
Who owns the game once it is delivered?
You do. Your domain, your content, your attendance statistics. Our projects are reversible, with no proprietary lock-in, with a back office and training for your staff: you stay independent after delivery.
Does it work for large groups?
It is measured in the field: 50 to 120 people play at once in every session at CHU de Rouen, more than 1,000 players took part over five days in Cherbourg, and our large-scale treasure hunts set off up to 500 players at the same time.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes, by design: European hosting, no account or personal data required to play, anonymous attendance statistics, and a minimal retention period agreed with your data protection officer. We already work with public hospitals, where the requirement is at its strictest.
